Shaya Suchy, a fifth year education student from Guernsey Saskatchewan, came in to Saturday night's home action against the Lethbridge Kodiaks knowing she needed to get 22 digs to break the ACAC career record of 1244 set by Brooke Peterson of the Briercrest Clippers between 2010-14. In the fourth set against the Kodiaks, Shaya did what she has been doing for the past four plus season for Medicine Hat. SHe got a dig. This time however, the game was stopped and the game ball was removed as Suchy had just recorded her 1245th dig to break the record. Suchy finished the game with 27 digs and now sits at 1250 carerr digs and she has 16 games remaining to add to her record. Congratulations Shaya on becoming the new ACAC record holder in career digs.
