The Medicine Hat College (MHC) Rattlers are pleased to announce that former Rattlers athlete, Tyler Olson, has been hired on an interim basis as head coach of the men's volleyball team. He will assume coaching duties on Monday Dec. 2, 2019.

Kim Stonehouse, Rattlers women's volleyball head coach, will remain a part of the men's program serving in a mentorship role as Olson starts his coaching career.

"We are happy with the appointment of Tyler to lead the men's volleyball team. We saw an opportunity for a young man to begin his professional coach development under the guidance of an experienced mentor in Kim Stonehouse," says Terry Ballard, manager of sport and wellness. "Rattlers Athletics is very familiar with Tyler as he is a Rattlers men's volleyball alum, a past president of the Rattlers student leadership group, RALI, and a business student at MHC."

Kristina Segall will take over Rattlers community engagement duties until the spring when the new direction for that position is announced.

The Rattlers would like to welcome Olson to the Rattlers coaching ranks and wish him all of the best in the upcoming months.
