Rattlers in the Community

Rattlers Volunteer in their Community

Our Rattler's make MHC and our community proud!  In addition to attending classes, studying, practicing and competing, these talented athletes have big hearts to reach out and assist in a wide variety of community events throughout the year.  Our Rattlers are role models who set positive examples in the community of Medicine Hat.

In the 2017-2018 season, the Rattlers volunteered 5,023 hours, and have a goal to continue to increase their volunteer hours and the positive impact they have on the community of Medicine Hat & surrounding areas. There 5,023 hours included volunteering with the Santa Claus Fund, Salvation Army, helping those with physical limitations move, hosting a Christmas Party and Easter egg hunt for kids, CHADS program at the Hospital, several different schools, Pajammin for kids with cancer fundraiser, Herald School River Run, Fall & Spring Chamber of Commerce trade shows, Project Connect, Make Some Noise for Mental Health event, coaching several different sports teams, Adaptive Sport & Recreation, Medicine Hat SPCA and Hillcrest Church.

On top of their volunteering efforts they also donated items to the Women's Shelter, Food Bank & the Medicine Hat SPCA.

If you would like to see about having the Rattlers attend your event, please contact Travis Hyde thyde@mhc.ab.ca or Patrick Sharp psharp@mhc.ab.ca with a description of your event and the approximate number of athletes required and we will do our best to have some volunteers available.
