We are excited to announce the Rattlers Players of the Week, sponsored by Cheerleaders Barber Lounge and BYZ Enterprises, recognizing two athletes for their outstanding performances this past weekend.

Breanna O'Connor - Women's Basketball

After two wins on the weekend, Breanna O'Connor helped the Medicine Hat Rattlers women's basketball team keep their playoff dreams alive.

The first game, played against the Ambrose Lions in Calgary, saw Breanna deliver an outstanding performance with 27 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists, earning her the title of player of the game. In the second game, held in Medicine Hat against the same opponent, she recorded 28 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 assists, coming just one rebound away from a double-double.

O'Connor finished the weekend with an impressive average of 27.5 points per game, helping her team secure a perfect weekend.

Hailing from Wetaskiwin, AB, Breanna O'Connor is in her third year of the Education program.

Cooper Ward - Men's Basketball

After two impressive wins over the weekend, Cooper Ward helped the Medicine Hat Rattlers men's basketball team stay strong in their playoff push.

In the first game, a dominant 102-73 victory against the Ambrose Lions in Calgary, Cooper achieved a major milestone, surpassing 1,000 career points in the ACAC. He accomplished this feat in just 49 games over two and a half seasons with the Rattlers. In that game, Cooper contributed 17 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists, earning him the title of player of the game.

In the second game, played in Medicine Hat against the same opponent, Cooper recorded a triple-double with 17 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists, helping his team secure a 91-81 victory and complete a perfect weekend.

Hailing from Australia, Cooper Ward is in his third year of the Sports and Event Marketing Management program.
