Players of the Week - November 14

We are excited to announce the Rattlers Players of the Week, sponsored by Cheerleaders Barber Lounge and BYZ Enterprises, recognizing two athletes for their outstanding performances this past weekend.

Aki Iwata - Cross Country Running

The unranked Rattlers surprised everyone, posting a tenth place finish at CCAA XC Nationals on the weekend.  First-year runner Aki Iwata was an important contributor to the team's result passing 10 runners in the closing kms of the race. Iwata finished the 6km course in 28:46.30. Not only is Iwata new to running, she's new to competitive sports.  Rattlers running is the first sports team she has ever been a part of. There is no better way to start it's competitive journey than running in the biggest stage.

Cade Harrison - Men's Volleyball

Harrison delivered a standout performance over the weekend, helping lead the Rattlers to two consecutive wins. In Friday’s 3-0 sweep over The King’s University (25-19, 25-18, 25-21), Harrison contributed 4 kills, 1 dig, and 1 block, adding 5 points to the Rattlers' total. On Saturday, he continued his impact in a 3-1 victory against Northwestern Polytechnic (18-25, 25-17, 25-7, 25-16), recording 5 kills, 7 service aces, and 1 dig, amassing 12 points for the match. With these back-to-back wins, the Rattlers head into their next home game on November 22 against Concordia University of Edmonton with strong momentum.
