Golf Championships provide more Rattlers Hardware

This past Sunday, the ACAC Golf Championships took place at the Alberta Springs Golf Resort in Red Deer. Over three days of competition, the Medicine Hat Rattlers golf team captured medals and individual achievements, continuing the program's historically strong performances in recent years.

The women's team delivered consistent scoring to earn the silver medal. Ava Bratvold posted rounds of +16, +15 and +16, while Kiara Reesor carded +19, +13 and +18, keeping the Rattlers in contention each day. Rookie Zoe Hodgson (+21, +25 and +30) added depth to the lineup. Together, the trio's steady play across all three days secured second place overall for the program.

Kiara Reesor turned in an impressive performance at the 2025 ACAC Golf Championship to earn All-Conference honours. Playing Alberta Springs Golf Resort, she opened with a 90 on Sunday, rebounded with an 85 on Monday, and closed with a 91 on Tuesday. Her ability to steady her game after a challenging first round and post one of the lowest day-two scores in the field was a key factor in helping Medicine Hat College secure the silver medal. Reesor's consistency and composure across all three days highlighted why she was recognized among the conference's top golfers.

The Medicine Hat College mixed golf team battled through three rounds at the 2025 ACAC Golf Championship and finished with a combined score of 710. Wyatt Bishop paced the group with rounds of 77-75-74 to tie for 10th individually, while Rylan Hodgson posted a strong 74 on Day 1 and closed with a 72 to tie for 14th overall. Keelan Burzminski contributed a second-round 77, with women's scorers Kiara Reesor (85) and Ava Bratvold (88-88) rounding out the lineup. Their consistency across all three days highlighted the depth of the roster and secured an ACAC bronze medal for the Rattlers mixed team.

Their next challenge is nothing less than the CCAA Golf National Championship. This year, the event will be held at home for the Rattlers golfers, with Desert Blume serving as host. The competition starts on October 13 and runs until Friday, when the national champions will be crowned.
