Athletes of the Week Sept 17

The Rattlers are excited to announce that Joao Cintra and Keeley Zambon have been named Players of the Week, sponsored by Cheerleaders Barber Lounge and BYZ Enterprises.

Joao Cintra
Making his debut for the Rattlers, Joao Cintra had an outstanding start to the season, scoring three goals across his first two matches. Two of his goals came from penalty kicks, while his third came from a free kick against Olds College.

In the first match against Red Deer Polytechnic, Cintra was highly efficient, recording 2 shots, both on target, resulting in two goals. In the second match against Olds College, he fired off 4 shots, all on target, adding another goal to his tally. He played 90 minutes in each game.

In his second year in the ACAC, the General Studies student from Fortaleza, Brazil, has proven to have a special ability with set pieces.

Keeley Zambon
In her rookie season, Keeley Zambon has already made an impact on the field. In the home opener against Red Deer Polytechnic, Keeley provided an assist just minutes into the match. She continued to shine by scoring the game-tying goal in extra time against Olds College, proving her clutch abilities in key moments. Zambon played the full 90 minutes in both matches.

The first-year Kinesiology student from Spruce Grove, AB, has proven to be more than a great addition to the Women's Soccer team.

Congratulations to both Joao and Keeley on their well-deserved recognition!
